Dr. Robert Dotson, MD, FARVO, FASRS

Dr. Dotson has been actively involved in researching and developing photobiomodulation (PBM) technology for applications within ophthalmology over the past 20+ years and has become a leader in the field. He has served as a consultant in PBM to numerous commercial companies and academic programs. He has given talks on all aspects of this new scientific field at numerous national and international academic programs, scientific meetings, and to commercial business representatives. Dr. Dotson has more than 40 years of experience in medical device research and development. He has more than 30 years experience in research and clinical use of ophthalmic laser systems (including gas and solid state lasers emitting a range spanning from far UV to visible and NIR wavelengths). 

Additionally, he has had an interest in alternative and integrative medicine solutions to healing and prevention for more than 40 years and continues to study this area and work within it. Dr. Dotson is a co-founder of Photospectra, Ltd., of Toronto and presently serves as its Science and Medical Officer. He is also a co-founder of Lumithera, Inc., of Poulsbo and served as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for that company until March of 2017.
